I want to first apologize for anyone who has tried to get on my blog recently and has been unable to do so due to security reasons or virus warnings. I have some sort of virus in my new blog and have no idea how to get rid of it. So... instead of going crazy I am going back to this blog for now. It is hard to part with my new blog because I just love the slide show, customized settings, larger images, etc. But, it is not worth the headaches and potential harm it could cause my clients. Thank you for understanding.

Little "Ruby" is already 6 months! This has to be one of my favorite ages... just starting to sit up and everyday is a new discovery. Of course, we had to have a tea party with big sister. Crazy hats, bright colors, awesome Wizard of Oz "ruby" red slippers... it's perfect!

I have been trying to figure out a new blog but there have been so many issues with it that I have decided I am going to set this project aside for awhile and revisit it at a later time. It was pretty but not worth all the headaches.

I had a great morning session today with this little lady. I loved the polka dots in her room and decided to use one of her blankets as a backdrop! She was so much fun and has such gorgeous blue eyes.

This mini photo session with my best friends 5 month old baby girl was all for me and I loved every minute of it! I have so many ideas in this head of mine and all it takes is to recruit some beautiful models to practice on. It totally helps when your model grabs at the prop and looks right at you like in image #1. Her expression and natural reaction to touch what was placed on her head made this shot perfection!

My plan this year is to get out there and do more "for me" sessions so that I can tap into my creative side a bit more. I always try to add creativity to every session but sometimes you find yourself in this rut that is hard to get out of until you take some chances. So, this year I hope to build my portfolio with more fun, funky, timeless and creative images for you all to enjoy.

Just look at this beautiful baby boy! Poor little guy just did not want to have his picture taken. He was so wide awake and peaceful at the very beginning but as things progressed he quickly decided that he was done. So, we had to call it quits. But, this first shot was worth it all because it just takes my breath away.

Charlie had his 4 month check-up yesterday and everything is going well. He has a few issues with reflux and has lost quite a bit of weight. So, we are trying a new medication. Hopefully he can keep his food down now instead of voming all day. He also has a little ear infection and is still battling cradle cap. But, he is still all smiles and is doing great.

I wanted to practice on my focus and with the light yesterday so Charlie and I had a little mini session before his big appointment. In addition, I wanted to work on posing for this age and different angles. When babies cannot sit up it can be quite challenging to get a lot of variety. Here is what I got in the 15 minutes he wanted to work! I just love him so much.

Just look at this tiny little guy! He is just full of sweetness and has two beautiful parents who are so in love! I enjoyed holding baby M and all his tininess! It is crazy how you so quickly forget how fast this newborn stage goes.

Happy New Year! This was my first session of 2009 and I love that it was a maternity session. Maternity represent new life and beginnings which seems appropriate when looking at the start of a new year. This mommy-to-be did such a great job and is looking forward to baby #2.

What a wonderful session I had this morning with this little cutie! We decided that a little snow and ice was not going to stop us! I photographed little miss A as a newborn and it was so great to see her again at now 1-years-old. Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day to give thanks... to acknowledge and remind ourselves of how blessed we are in life. So today, I give thanks for:

My family... this year has been filled with new life, happiness and broken hearts. It has been a year of change for us all and even though it has been overwhelming joyful at times it has been just as equally rough. But, through it all I feel so extremely blessed to be a part of so much love. Today is tough... my family is redefining itself and this new definition is not easy. However, with change brings joy, new happiness and strength.

Now, for all of the little things that make me smile... coffee, my baby's first smile, superhero underwear, pictures, music, my son's imagination and his amazing adventures he takes daily inside himself, new markers, my husband's smell, sisters and my parent's.

Let's get to today's sneak peek... I am also extremely thankful for all of my clients and the relationships that I get to build with your children and families. Here are two cuties that have come back this year and I just love their dark eyes and sweet smiles.

Wow... I normally don't show this many images in a sneak peek but I just couldn't stop myself. I had so much fun with this beautiful family. Working with older children tends to allow more freedom with creativity and these boys were definitely creative. They have such different personalities and I love how these images capture their individuality, the love that radiates within this family and all the fun they have together!

It was so much fun photographing this great family! The puppy in the family had us all laughing and I have to say it was a first for me to hold on to a dog leash in one hand and my camera in the other. :) They were up for anything and I enjoyed our time together.

We had a good time walking through the woods and acting silly with my toy frog at this session. At first, these two didn't quite no what to think when I started talking about Halloween, their favorite things to do and how they like to spend their time... at the same time I was taking their picture. But, as the session progressed they really warmed up and started showing those natural expressions I was looking to capture. They did fantastic and made me laugh throughout our time together.

I loved photographing this beauty! Her eyes are this piercing shade of blue with a dark outline around them which really makes them sparkle! She was such a joy to photograph and I find myself really in love with her close-up shots.

It feels so great to be outside again doing what I love! It is going to be the perfect weather for photographs this week and that is a good thing because I am completely booked!

I had a great time photographing this family. Their mommy and I have many grade school memories together and it was so wonderful to reconnect with her and photograph her absolutely beautiful family!

Here he is... our new addition, Charlie Alan Fish. Charlie was born on September 15th at 6:42pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and is 21 inches long. We did a brief mini session yesterday and I am now hoping to capture him and his proud big brother soon. I feel so overwhelmed with emotion when I look at him and feel so blessed to have him in my life. Now, I need to catch up on some much needed sleep!

Well... Monday is going to be the big day! My doctor has decided to schedule an induction and we are set to be at the hospital at 9:00am Monday morning. I have been experiencing very sharp headaches for about two weeks now that just don't want to go away. So, to be on the safe side he wants to get me delivered.

We are ready! I am so full of emotion to know that in two days we are going to have another baby boy in our family. Brandon is about to become a big brother which is such an amazing thing in itself. I am so glad these two boys will have one another. The best blessings in my life are my two sisters... I would not be who I am today without them.

Life has thrown me many ups and downs throughout this pregnancy. Many changes have taken place that have been out of my control and now the moment I have been waiting for for 9 months is about to unfold in two days. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and for you all to meet him. I will post pictures after we get settled at home and rested.

Brandon and I had to have one last mini photo session before his little brother arrives. I wanted to make our own little memory before his whole world gets turned upside down. So, we went out puddle jumping and he had a blast. I loved every minute of it and am so thankful for this amazing boy in my life.

This little newborn was nicknamed Ruby by her older sister when she found out she was going to have a little sister. Even though this is not her name she continues to call her Ruby and throughout our session, I couldn't help but call her Ruby too. I love it and think it is so cute how this nickname continues. It took us a couple attempts to pull off these sibling shots but it was well worth it!!!

On 8.8.08 my baby turned 4! I just cannot believe how fast these past 4 years have gone and it makes me want to cherish every moment... like this one. He came out of his room this morning with his hair full of gel, his snow boots on and still wearing his pj's. Running through the house he started playing with his birthday toys. His laughter caught my attention and I knew this was a moment I had to document. Happy Birthday Brandon!

Another great session down at the Old Market. I just can't get enough of that place... so many amazing backgrounds and what a great place to explore new options. I photographed this little man last year and now he is back for his 6 year portraits. His smile just melts my heart and draws me in to each photograph.

These two brothers make me smile! I love sibling sessions and the opportunity to photograph older children. Getting them to not give me their fake smiles is always a challenge, however, despite the heat and the million mosquitoes we managed to pull it off.

In older children, I find that the focus and story of a beautiful photograph tends to fall on the eyes instead of the smile. They are much more intense and the eyes are what draw you in. Where as, in a younger child, you can't help but fall in love with those innocent giggles. I love the difference between these two brothers and enjoyed getting to know them.

There is just so much variety at the Old Market... I could shoot down there for hours. It was so very hot but these two were fantastic.

I had the opportunity to photograph some family this past weekend. I'm sure they thought I was crazy when I told them to jump with their hands in the air in the middle of this field! It's always a little more tricky getting adults to be comfortable in front of the camera so doing some silly stuff is always a great way to capture some laughter.

Little miss A is growing up so quickly! It seems like just yesterday when she was curled up on her parent's furniture for her newborn portraits. Time is just slipping by so quickly this year and watching these little ones grow is such a gift. Baby A is now sitting up and it won't be long before her parents let go of those tiny hands and she takes off running towards her dreams.

It is always such a joy when I get to see how my clients have changed over the year and to photograph them again at their next milestone. This time... there was a new addition and he is just perfect! Little miss A was so proud of her new baby brother.

Well... I took the leap and completed my first portrait party! I had a wonderful host who organized the event, completed the session schedule and gathered all the participants. I had no idea what to expect from this event and had my worries due to my 29 week pregnant belly and photographing 16 children in such a short period of time. BUT... I could not have walked away more pleased. All of the children and parents were so great and the hard part now is narrowing down all my shots to only 10 per family!!! It was such a hot day so I do believe the next time I conquer another portrait party I will NOT be pregnant and would prefer the cooler weather that Fall brings. :)

Okay, seriously... look at that amazing curly hair! This little guy was on the move throughout our session but when he would look my way he gave me the most captivating expressions. I just can't stop staring at this first image... it melts my heart.

Happy Memorial Day to all! I thought I would share some family pics today. Yesterday we enjoyed the hot weather by playing around in the water and making goofy faces. Brandon is my most difficult subject to photograph because he knows all of my tricks and never falls for them anymore. Plus, he is Mr. Independent and never wants to listen!

It is always so wonderful to photography your friend's children. I not only get to do what I love but I get to see great people at the same time! These two boys made things so easy for me... they would smile every time the camera came out and gave me so much variety.

Baby e was put through it all during this session. She did an amazing job despite a minor tumble out of my basket. I just love her parents and had a wonderful time photographing their beautiful baby girl. These images are full of color and we managed to capture some great shots while battling all the ticks. I can't believe I am doing this... actually posting a picture of me half naked! My comfort zone is definitely behind the camera! However, throughout my photography journey I have learned that documenting life's precious moments is far more important than my insecurities and hang-ups. So, here I am and proudly displaying my belly bump at 21 weeks. My husband and I are so excited for this new addition and we are looking forward to watching Brandon become a big brother. It's a BOY and I am due September 21st. And wow... you sure do get big in a hurry the second time around!

When I first photographed little T he was in his mommy's belly. Then I had the pleasure of photographing him again as a newborn and 6 months. Now... he is the big 1! I love seeing how much growth takes place that first year and watching their little personalities develop. This is such a fun age!

During this family session we had a great time walking through the park and soaking up the sunshine! I love how Spring is starting to show its face by the little splashes of color coming through the trees and the bright green grass. Another fantastic family with beautiful children full of life.

It's always a joy to photograph people you know! This was my first session outdoors since last fall and it felt so good to shoot outside again. I had a great time walking around the Old Market and photographing this wonderful couple. There wedding is quickly approaching and I wish them the best of luck in their future together.

Just look at this little bundle of joy! Baby A was such a pleasure to photograph and I enjoyed watching how her interact with her big brother. It was fun to try a recreate some of the same poses we used when big brother was just a newborn!

Baby O is such a beautiful baby and was a joy to photograph. He is curious... going to sleep was a challenge because I think he was afraid he would miss something exciting. He fell peacefully asleep towards the end of the session and did a terrific job throughout! I just love his little lips.

The one word that comes to mind when I reflect back on this session is... WOW! What a beautiful and peaceful little baby girl. She slept throughout the entire session and even gave us time to brainstorm and think of new ideas. I truly had a joy working with not only her but her amazing parents. Baby R was born 6 weeks early and arrived on Christmas Eve... what a perfect Christmas gift!

Well, there is definitely a little baby boom happening... so many babies and I absolutely love it! I had an amazing time photographing this tiny newborn. She was so peaceful when she slept and would let me know if she was unhappy with my poses. This little one is blessed with terrific parents who love her dearly.

I had such a wonderful time photographing beautiful Aubrey. She did not want to sleep for the majority of our time together. But... with eyes like hers who would want to keep them closed?
